Recent Tenant news at 180 Madison Avenue; Tumi the luggage company required a a store and showroom space across the street from its future Midtown South headquarters. The luggage company had signed a 5,189-square-foot lease for the ground floor of PGIM Real Estate’s building with plans to open shop in the spring. Tumi had wanted its new outpost to be equipped with a photography studio, magnetic wall, and demonstration table, and to be near its 20,000-square-foot offices at 16 East 34th Street.

It is not a typical Tumi location, as they had wanted to incorporate an exciting showroom close to their headquarters. The opening of Tumi on 34th Street is believed to further solidify the upward trajectory seen in this Manhattan neighborhood.
